Delete your account and data
Last updated 22 September 2026
This page covers both Hello Beta applications, operated by HELLOBETA PRIVATE LIMITED, Hyderabad, India:
- Hello Beta, package
co.hellobeta.voice, the voice assistant used to place a grocery order by speaking. - Hello Beta Family, package
co.hellobeta.family, the companion application used by family members to see completed orders.
Delete from the app
- Open the Hello Beta Family app and tap the settings icon at the top.
- Tap Delete account, read what will be deleted, then tap Delete account and confirm.
If you are the only family member in your household, the household is deleted too: the senior phone’s connection, orders, scheduled orders, call history and the Swiggy link. If other family members remain, only your account is deleted and they keep the household.
Or ask us by email
Write to contact@hellobeta.co and say that you want your Hello Beta data deleted. A person reads that address and will answer.
There is no charge, and we will not ask you why.
So that the right household is deleted and not somebody else’s, please include one of these:
- the Google email address used in the family app, or
- the household identifier shown in the family app, or an order reference that helps us find it.
The family app uses Google Sign-In; the senior app uses an anonymous device sign-in. If your message is not enough to identify the right records and verify the request, we will ask for clarification. Do not send passwords or one-time codes.
What gets deleted
The database removes these household-linked records when the household is deleted:
- The household record: its identifier, the name the assistant calls the user by, the language it speaks, and its ordering preferences and product glossary.
- Every call and its basket: the items, quantities, totals, and stage of every order the assistant handled, which is also the history shown in the companion app.
- The written transcript of every call: the text of what was said, one entry per turn.
- Every placed and scheduled order, including the delivery address recorded on it.
- The diagnostic log for those calls, and the measurements the application reported about its own behaviour, including wake-word and voice-match scores.
- Any in-flight authorisation left over from linking an account, and any record of pairing a device to the household.
- The stored Swiggy access token, if an account is linked.
- Notification registrations linked to the household.
Database relationships remove the linked records listed above. Completing a deletion request also requires the separate checks below. See the security note.
Sign-in accounts and invitation email addresses and notes do not disappear in that operation. Invitation links to the household may simply be cleared. These records require separate operator handling. Transcripts and metrics without a linked call, and pre-pairing device events, also need manual checking. Support email and provider-held copies are outside this database cascade.
We keep your invitation (your email address and family name) so you can sign in again and start over. Email us and we will remove it too.
Two things are not reached by that operation, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise. The voiceprint used to recognise a speaker, and any saved wake-word clips, are held in the application’s private storage on the phone itself and are never uploaded to us, so there is nothing on our side to delete and nothing we can reach. Uninstalling the application removes both. Section 4 of the privacy policy describes what they are.
How long it takes
We aim to handle your request within 30 days. We confirm the outcome by email, including any records that need separate handling or steps you need to take.
Backups and provider-held copies are not removed by deleting the household. Their retention and deletion depend on the provider and the configured service. We check these separately when handling your request and do not promise a backup deletion date without verifying it.
What we cannot delete for you
Orders already placed. Hello Beta places orders with Swiggy on your instruction. Those orders live in your Swiggy account under Swiggy’s own terms and privacy policy, and deleting your Hello Beta household does not remove them from Swiggy.
Your Swiggy account itself. Use the Swiggy app to request access, correction or deletion of information held by Swiggy. Contact us separately about copies held by Hello Beta.
If you only want to unlink Swiggy
You can ask us to disconnect the grocery account without deleting the household:
- If Swiggy offers an account-access revocation control, you can use it. We cannot promise that control’s availability or timing.
- Write to contact@hellobeta.co and ask us to disconnect. We aim to remove the stored token within 30 days and confirm by email.
Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete anything held on our side. The household record stays until you ask for it to be removed.
What we never held in the first place
There is nothing to delete here, because none of it is ever stored: no payment details of any kind, since orders are cash on delivery and the product has no payment screen; and no call audio, because speech is converted to text during the call and the audio is never written to our storage. Written transcripts are kept. Household-linked transcripts are removed with the household; unlinked transcripts need a separate check. Sarvam’s own copies are handled separately. The privacy policy sets this out in full.
